"Sinitsyn is an incredibly talented artist. His work will be widely acquired once he becomes known to collectors interested in abstract impressionism, and you can quote me. But you have to be up close and personal with it to feel it sing in your mind."

Serge Sinitsyn
Serge Sinitsyn was born in Vitebsk,
Belarus, a city that gave us such artistic giants as Malevich Kandinsky and
Chagall. He began studying painting in Tikhvin, Russia, with the distinguished
water colorist, Josef Kvitko, and continued his studies with Valery Bartikov in
Lviv, Ukraine, where he also studied the art of stained glass at the Institute
of Applied Arts.
For many years Mr. Sinitsyn worked in
Lviv as a set designer at the City Opera, as well as at the Zinovetsky Theater.
He also worked for a number of years in Kherson, Ukraine, executing commissions
for stained glass installations. Mr. Sinitsyn has exhibited in Ukraine, Poland,
Russia and Austria, in major cities such as Moscow, Vienna and Kyiv. His works
can be found in the Lviv National Gallery, the Kheron Museum of Art and in many
private collections.
Since coming to the United States, he
has had exhibitions at the Mayana Gallery, the Orentantz Foundation
and the Chelsey Cultural Center in New York City
